SE6a Half shafts

Hello .
Any advice would be useful on were to start.
Just checking the rear pads and found the 1/2 shaft end float on my Scimi. is about 2 mm either side .
Its fitted with a LSD and wondering if the shaft spacer has disintegrated.
There is no noise and the bearing feel good and no oil leaks.
The Scimi has not moved in 18 months and the movement was not there at its last mot.

Has the spacer disintegrated/worn?
