GTC Brake light issue

Post by GTC Mad » Mon Mar 12, 2018 10:14 pm

Evening all..I was doing some pre-MOT checks on the GTC today and noticed i have no brake lights. Would anyone know what fuse feeds these lights.I am back up the garage tomorrow to have a better look at the issue.
Cheers.

Ian.

Your brake light switch has quite likely fallen to bits. Brake pedal bracket.

They tend to do that - especially the “remanufactured” ones, sadly. Easy to brace it up with a couple of tywraps but only when it’s in one piece to start with..

Many thanks for the replied guys and thanks for the warm welcome scimjim.
The pedel switch did cross my mind but just wanted to pick your brains first 8)
The said GTC was my late dads who sadly passed away a back in Novermber 2017 and has owned Scimitars for many many years. It's been parked up in the garage for just over 4 years(Started every week etc...) so just thought it's time to dust off the cobwebs and get it MOT'd this week..Thats the only issue there is with it i can see, I think it's build number 191.We restored it over the past 12 years and was in use up until he got ill just over 4 years ago.
I will let you all know how it gos tomorrow.
Many thanks again all.
Ian.

Sorry to hear of your loss - great that you’re getting the car back on the road though.
