clutch MC and slave cyl seals

Post by justfur » Thu Oct 12, 2017 7:26 pm

Bought a set of genuine Girling seals for clutch refurb (from a reliable source  ) to find I probably don't have original Girling cylinders although they are the correct bore.

Slave cyl seal differances, genuine Girling on R:

I have been informed by a brake and clutch parts supplier that these aftermarket cylinders are not a servicable item.

So do I purchase two new cylinders or.........I love a challenge, machine the pistons/seal carriers to take genuine replacements, there's plenty of meat but it's quite tight?

Or even easier....where can I get some replacenent seals?

Thanks Jim, did as you suggested, now it makes more sense why there was a braided clutch hose fitted :)
