I've got to do this on both sides of the SE5a. I don't anticipate bracing anything. The things they connect (main chassis rail to rear tube) are (should be !!!) very substantial. I doubt that the ones on our SE5a have been doing any bracing for some years. They seem to be providing a framework for filler and underseal at the moment
