Hi Phil, you quoted that

" No need to resize the pictures, so you can drag them off your camera/phone/directory as they are - the forum software does the rest now."

The picture of the Jag Reg W11LFS in Good or A N P Thread, which was taken on my phone, when I checked it was 8mb, so transferred to desktop, resizes it, and that's how I managed to post, if its to large it does not give you a "place inline" facility.

Regards
Alan

V3.2 problems

So I was having an issue with the size of my avatar and emailing it to myself wasn't working... as I couldn't get the size small enough. A quick search on Google app store found this image resizing app and it seems to work well.

V3.2 problems

Post by alan.wells » Sat Jul 29, 2017 1:38 pm

Regarding my previous post, I have been playing around with the settings on my phone camera and there is a large range of setting, picture size was 4128x3096, now changed to 1260x1260 and originally set to full HD of 1920 x 1080 but have now changed to VGA 640 x 480, which has now reduced the size ie to approx. 1 mb variable, this now allows me to post pictures with out hassle.
Thank you all for your input and all is now well.
Regards
Alan :D

I just asked the kids if they can change the photo sizes on their Samsungs and was about to suggest that :-)

My iPhone saves them at about 2mb.

V3.2 problems

Post by Ian » Sat Jul 29, 2017 4:27 pm

Just picked this up, not been around. There is a limit, that is currently set to 5Mb, above which images won't upload and resize. 8Mb for a single image is rather larger than I'd expect. Even my Digital SLR doesn't make them that big! I could try adjusting the limit if it proves to be much of a problem.

Limit now changed to 10Mb. Shouldn't cause us any problems as only the smaller resized image is saved. Someone please try an image somewhere between 5 and 10Mb to prove its working OK.

Full resolution of iPhone6, not sure how big it is as I can't seem to access that info on my iPad.

Is the 'View your posts' facility still available? Maybe it's me but I can't see it.
