Thanks Jim.
The corrupted attachments are baffling me at the moment as looking at the files individually outside of the forum they appear OK. I'm on the case and no doubt I'll find an answer soon.

Ian, the site header has suddenly corrupted and the upload attachments tabs have moved (windows 10). when I go to upload an attachment i get a debug message in the header. The PM window is also misaligned so I can't PM you.

Yep, just checked iPad and that's gone too. Recent topics font has also defaulted to a larger size?

Hopefully the attachment problem is now fixed. At least those that I know of are ok. A few problems could still remain but there's over 21,000 files in the attachments and I can't check 'em all  .
I'll get on to some of the more minor problems after I've had a rest.

Is anyone else having problems with the search function?

I knew that we'd discussed the Webcon Retroject, so searched for "Retroject" with no luck. I then searched for "Retrojet" in case it had been mis-spelt, still no luck.

Then Roger merged two threads (about the retroject) and I can see Phil H has mentioned it in this post?

Edit - this post comes up in the search function!

Yes, you're one step ahead of me Jim, but I had exactly the same problem, and came to the same conclusion - that I was beginning to suspect a search glitch?

In fact, thinking about it a bit more, I was using the search earlier, and it seemed to work fine (it found the post about the German Se5/5a, for example) but that was a much older post - could it have perhaps lost the index for some posts in Feb?

In fact, I've just done a quick test, and it appears to be more than just Feb:

I did a quick search for "Goodwood" as I know there will be a few posts! :)

The results show posts in the compie section, going back to Feb 15th 2017, then a big gap, with the next result being Jan 19th 2016! I posted most recently in my project thread (most recent post also Feb 15th, but earlier in the day, and that doesn't appear. I know there were other posts about Goodwood during the year (about the sprint, for instance), but they don't come out on the search.

Having typed "GTR" into this thread, I wondered just how many I'd seen over the years. A search for GTR in the topic didn't pull back the post I'd just made?

Jim, is the reason it did not come up is that GTR is not in that thread , you did not put a space between V77 and GTR . Search for V77GTR and it does come up .

The google search probably would have - or I think there's a wildcard function? Forum search isn't the best but having more access that the google search does fine up with different results anyway.
