Interior lights not working Se5a

Post by GTJoe72 » Sun Mar 15, 2020 2:41 pm

Hi, trying to get the interior lights working today.. no power to any of them, nor the cigarette lighter that I think is on the same circuit.. Can anyone suggest any obvious places to start please. It’s a 72 car

Obviously you have checked the fuse .however make sure it's holder is not corroded

Horn, clock and main beam flash are on the same fuse too.

Thanks for replies. Turns out it was the purple feed wire that had 2 points of corrosion ( that had turned copper to dust) about 20mm up from the connector in the boot cubby locker.. Very strange how the copper either side of it was ok.... a small lump in the wire gives it away..

One more off the list 👍

Will fit LED festoons warm white unless that’s a big nono

Good call on the LED bulbs, they don`t self destruct the plastic housings and lens.
