Please add yourself if you would like to be part of the network of "Scimaritans" - the idea being for a local pair of eyes or even hands...

If the list gets too big, then i may well collate them into seperate posts depending on the responses.

OK, First Off...

Phil Howard, live just down the road from Curborough and work in North Coventry. Know GTEs and SS1s, have a little storage and access to a bit more (but not car sized..) but fine with anything up to a gearbox (maybe an engine at a push). Mainly travel around the Midlands area, but occasionally countrywide - north, south, east and west!

Have a 2 ton engine crane available if anyone needs it - along with an extension jib for pulling SS1 engines out..

Hywel - Swansea and south west during term times and Anglesey during summer months.

Plenty of space for engines, gearboxes, etc. Will have room to store a car or two for semi short periods.

Know SE6's well, but not unhappy to look over most anything. More specific checks available at request, have most of the tools here.

updated 2013 (I moved in 2011 )

Located near Yeovil, I have a garage for small parts and local barn storage for a couple of cars. I have access to a trailer that will take an SS1/SST/Sabre or SE5a (the larger trailer is currently u/s) or a towing dolly that I've towed a Range Rover on.

now in Gloucester (5 mins from J11a) and run the car storage facility on behalf of the RSSOC.

I've rebuilt most models except for early Sabres & Coupes and know SS1/Sabre, GTE & GTC, Essex, CVH & CA18ET intimately.

I travel to the Andover Oxford and Yeovil areas at least once a month, Bury St Edmunds twice a term, Bristol most days & Shrewsbury occasionally, Dinner & Dance, AGM, Curborough at least once a year :D plus some of the sprint calendar this year if I ever get the car finished :D

I've also driven to North Norway (3 winters) - Alf, Bavaria (3 winters), lived in Germany for 3 years and am not afraid of autobahns :D

Happy to look at cars, store parts or cars short or long term at Club rates, collect and deliver within reason.

Location: the Netherlands, east , near the A1 motorway.

Do know about: SS1 (1800ti) / GTE se6 and se5 / GTC. Have a lot of technical data on my PC, from Sabre to Scimitar Sabre.
The small Reliants: Robin mk1, Rialto and Kitten. Lots of technical data too, from Regal mk1 to Robin mk3.

Have room for working on a car. Do not have a lot of spares, but do have a good network to get spares in short notice.

Can store bigger spares inside, even a car or two when needed, though outside.

Located just outside Manchester, happy to help collect and store parts from around the NW of England.

Petrol costs would need to be covered, and a brew and biccies are always nice if I deliver.

Can deliver to Curborough once a year, NEC once a year, and along the route from Mcr to Cardiff a couple of times a year.

I do have space to store one car for a reasonable period (no more than 3 or 4 weeks please) and reckon I could tell a pup from a pearler if looking over cars for prospective buyers (obviously, no guarantees offered though, just a friendly appraisal). I own an SE5a and a Coupe SE4b and have basic knowledge on all other SE and SS series scimitars.

cheers, Matt

I'm in the north east of England, Sunderland. Don't have space to store a car, although at a push it could stand on the drive over night. Owned SE5a and SE6 and have spent all my life as a car enthusiast including about 30 years working on my own car and those of family and friends. Have most tools you are likely to need.

Could go and look at one, but judgements are always personal. Would collect and hold parts if no bigger than a gearbox and get to the Leicester/Northampton area reasonably regularly (every couple of months). Would help out anybody stuck in the area, even if only with tea and biccies!!

Stavanger, Norway. Not a lot of Scims up here, but if I can assist, I will.

Most likely I will be moving to Trondheim this spring, if that makes any difference to anyone. :)

live in shrewsbury shropshire (SY5) and work in telford shropshire (TF3).

i know SS1s/Ts/Sabres very well, have hands on experience of buying rebuilding and modifying them, but couldnt tell a middlebridge from SE5 . Can recognise a Coupe at 50 paces, but thats it

have access to a car transporter trailer and could store a car on the drive for short periods (not weeks and weeks or Er Indoors will have me shot!)
have storage for most items, again short term (have enough of my own long term crap, without yours!)

during the sprint season, i travel all over UK so can meet up at services or meet me at sprint/hillclimb venues.
