Reccomended a Machine shop in the SE (Essex Headwork)

Post by Joe. » Mon Jul 31, 2017 1:46 pm

Can anyone reccomend a good machine shop to work on my essex heads?

The engine I fitted to my GTE last year has turned out to be a bit problematic. It was sold to me as a stage 4 3.2 . It has actually turned out to be a 3.1 with Forged High Compression pistons, The heads are nicely ported and polished but are stage 2 (larger inlets standard exhausts.) I've also had problems with the valve guides moving in the head (K-line Type). I will write up a full decription with pictures at some point in the project thread.

So to correct this I'm looking for a machine shop who can do some work on the head:

Fit a set of proper valve guides,
Machine and fit a new set of valve seats to suit a 41.3mm Burtons exhaust valves, Lap in the new valves.
I'd also Like to get the heads drilled and tapped to suit Roller Rocker studs.

Interested in any reccomendations in the South East area. I'm in Littlehampton West Sussex. I ideally need a quick turnaround as I need to have the car back on the road as soon as possible.
