chrome bezels

Post by peter freeman » Tue Apr 08, 2014 11:40 am

Just fitted a set to the coupe dials - bought from MJC Products ( http://www.classicbezels.com John@classicbezels.com ) John Chadwick is the contact - don't forget new rudders for the outside of the gauges and bezels seals - I did not think about bezel seals but fortunately John did, the gauges originally used mastic but rubber bezel seals are much better. Not very good photos of the before and after but I am very happy with the end result.

Another vote for John Chadwick. He manufactures the bezels and is very discerning regarding the quality. Would definitely recommend. Picture of the dash with chrome bezels ready for installation into car. The clock (if anyone is interested) was a different size to the other dials and was a continuous crimp (not tabs) and was also flat faced. We traced it to a lotus bezel that fits with some difficulty. (sorry about the feet, but was just so excited about getting the picture!!)

They look good - in a car of that age, they give it a more "period" look :)

Our Coupe clock is a different size as well but that already had a chrome bezel.

Not on the Coupe as the instruments are below the top overhang - don't think it would be a problem on the other cars either.

Another vote for MJC bezels - not only are they nice quality, but the service from John was spot on.

One of my bezels had a small dent in it when it arrived - almost certainlyly damaged in transit. John sent anther one out without wanting any evidence, or wanting the old one returned - top chap ;)

Cheers,

Mike.
