Classic car keys cut from codes

I found this company that not only cuts keys from your codes online, but are reasonably priced as well. The added bonus is that they list all the union key codes with a picture of the key shape (slots) and the numbers related to the code.
Website is:- https://www.replacementkeys.co.uk

Hi Chris, codes are normally stamped (in very small numbers...so get a magnifying glass ready) somewhere on the back or the operating arm of the lock. If it's the scimitar boot and glovebox locks, it's on the snail arm in the boot, you can read it with help of a mirror without disassembly. I hope that's useful.

Classic car keys cut from codes

Post by Penfold13 » Sun Mar 17, 2019 6:18 pm

Hello again,

I’ve managed to find the codes, fiddly and the text was small. Made worse by the small amount of surface corrosion which needed carefully cleaning up. Two questions before I order keys:

- both the boot and door codes are three digit numbers beginning with a 9, does that seem right?
- on the replacement key website it asks which type of key, what is the cirrect one for the scimitar?

Thanks again for the help,
Chris

Hi Chris
All keys in the f series are number codes and the second letter is superfluous.
On me the numbers and I'll give you the full code to save you trying to match up.

Hi Trevor,

I’ve sent a PM, but it’s sitting in my outbox. Not sure what that means!

Thanks,
Chris

Company was really good, keys delivered in no time and at a good price. Sadly the door locks seem to be knackered, but the boot lock works like a charm now.

Thanks again,
Chris
