William said it was a 5 but the K plate was confusing me. There seems to be some sort of vehicle repair business in the nearby farm. We were driving along in the SS1 with the top off when we were passed by a very tidy '60's Mustang then a little while later saw this.

yes, K is the changeover point - rear lights and wing badges indicate a 5.

seems to be mobile judging by the well trimmed lawn :-)

Just spotted this. Not on the Register, so need a chassis number. :)

Actually, a good friend of mine lives in Fritwell.

Looks like it's up for auction again at Brighwells this month.

Lot number 59 here - https://www.brightwells.com/classic-mot ... 56a551bcc4

Seems to be in a lot better condition now!

Cheers,

5 or 5a ? EAC 200K near Fritwell

Post by Charles B » Fri May 11, 2018 8:43 pm

Good evening. I have been looking for a car for ages and have just put an absentee bid on this. Could one of the experts out there give me a view on the value? Due to work, I can’t make the sale and, therefore, the bid has to be made on research alone. I have read the previous thread and live very very near Fritwell! Any advice or help would be very gratefully recieved.
Many thanks,
Charles.

I’ll hazard a guess at double the estimate with all fees.

Auctions are funny though, it might go for bottom dollar - or top dollar (like a recent 6a in only slightly above average condition went for recently)?
