Good evening all,

My name is Wytze, and I have been reading here fo r a little while now. I'm from the Netherlands, and searching for a se6.
A se6 or A or B tickles my fancy. Overhere i can find a few se5 models, one in particular i like very much. The se5 is just not as boxxy as a 6.

More about me. I'm 48 years yong, have had a lot cars to tinker with. Now i still have two series 109 landy's , one on lpg and a diesel. The diesel turned in to a project, and will stay. the lpg one is going in the near future.
I have a nice 40 m2 wooden workshop, and a lot of tools, and still need more, by the looks of it.

The se6 that will be mine will get a lhd conversion i think. And if i can push it a different powerplant aswell, not sure about what or how.

Thanks for reading and if you may no about a nice one for me,
let me know... I promise i will start a buildthread
For now, a good evening again and nice to be here
Wytze

I had to look your location up as I had never heard of the place before - we will be landing at Ijmuiden next month on route for the international in France. I put a Rover V8 in our 6A as they were easy to get in the 80's and cheap, it suited the car very well and should in my opinion have been fitted by Reliant - I heard that they tried to get them but Rover refused. Anyway quite a large number of Scimitars in the Netherlands so if you are lucky someone over there might have a left hand drive one for sale. Welcome to the group.

Welcome Wytze, as Peter says there are quite a few left-hand drive SE6/as in the Nederlands.
There is a left-hand drive conversion in France - but it is not for sale 8)
And 48 is very young

Hello Peter and Chris, thank you very much.

There must be a few around, and don't mind a project car... just need to find the way to them.

Yes, 48 is young... but had a spot of cancer removed from my pipes a 1 1/2 years back. When you struggle with things you did easely before, it gives you that old feeling sometimes🤫. But i will get there...
If can't go left, just make way.

Did visit the site, and did see that the for sale section had its last update in 2015. Will try and contact him, thanks for that.

Welcome Wytze

A friend of mine is getting too old to keep his cars on the road.

A 1972 black se5 with a 2lt Ford diesel conversion and a 1977 se6a also with a Ford diesel conversion.

These cars would be cheap if you are interested, but the LHD conversion would be expensive.

Mark

Mark, I don't suppose the 6a is automatic with power steering by any chance? (sorry to hijack your thread)

Thank's Jim and Mark.

Mark, not sure yet on fuel. If i go diesel, it will be a v6 one.
But first i keep my eye on politics.
I think i like to butcher a S type Jag for the project. Both diesel
and petrol can be found.
Lhd conversion wise. not sure what to expect yet...
Other then a rack and dashparts. The dashparts can be made i think? Not clear on what steeringrack i would need yet.

Mr. Backpain, Erik,

Thank you!

Erik, I had a good nose around on your site. Is it still active, or
did live take over?
