Just paid my membership and soon to be picking up a SE4a from the UK (subject to it not being a complete bag of spanners). It appears to need a fiberglass repair on the front arch, new coil overs, and carpets. It’s also got a hot start problem. It will be winging its way to Dublin on a flatbed truck in a weeks time. I’ve always loved Scimitars and cannot wait to get back into one.

Welcome indeed :)
That's a new one on me, not sure if Matt has it on his Coupé site but I don't think so.
What's with the number?
According to Internet 17 BOM is on a 2007 BMW 320D M SPORT TOURING AUTO SILVER 1995cc
And 17 BUM doesn't exist ...

Bom,,, Bum, reminds me of the Peter Sellers, Inspector Clouseau sketch :) The cars been in the same family for years, since new I think. Just purchased the car but the 17 BOM registration belongs to the previous owners family and they are holding onto it. Unfortunately I must re register the car in Ireland you can opt for a dateless ZV plate, or a dated plate starting with 67 (1967) BVG 314E is the reg it wares for now,

Ah, I thought there would be a 'simple' explanation
A dated plate sounds rather neat.
