New ss1 owner in leeds

Post by Turner998 » Wed Apr 25, 2018 8:34 pm

Hi to all. I am new to the group and bought a ss1 on eBay over Christmas blind! The car was delivered mid January after the seller put 12 months test on it as agreed. She had the car for many years and reluctantly sold due to health issues. When the wife saw it I had health issues.!
Have been pottering with it for a few nights, but not done much. Have found major fire damage to the loom as the light motors were disconnected. Will put on road in May and see if I like it as much as I hope. Who best for insurance?
Have had Imps and many other classics in the past and am quite handy. We also have a 944, fergie tractor and stationary engines as well as many other toys. I am an Engineer by trade.
I am sure I will have many questions and requests for parts and advice. First is a roll bar and a soft top anyone?
I am based in Leeds so anyone local?
Am going to try to go to Keighley nogin soon and join the club.

Insurance "who" is a regular question - I was with Adrian Flux for years but have just insured with Classic Line as they seem better to deal with - not necessarily cheaper but quicker to respond etc.
