Hello everyone. New member here - on the lookout for a top notch 6b auto with galvanised chassis. I would consider an earlier 6/6a/6b provided the chassis was as clean as the proverbial whistle. I’m not looking for any kind of a project car but something in Condition 1 (not concours) so that I can just get on with enjoying the car and only have expected maintenance to do. I’m coming off the back of 37 years ownership and restoration of a Sunbeam Alpine (for sale if anyone is interested!) and want to spend a little less time on the tools and a little more actually driving! Hopefully that’s not too optimistic an outlook!

I’m Cornwall based but have made contact with the Cornwall and Devon Noggins and hope to attend those as soon as I can.

Only recently joined the forum and application to join the club will follow very shortly.

Agreed - but might be worth an offer?

Yes I had seen that one but it's manual - I probably should have mentioned in my first post that I was looking for an automatic too. Thanks for the heads up though. at the moment I've got my eye on something in this country so watch this space....

Hi Again .
I hope you are not looking at the Black 84 SE6b A20GX Because I bought it 2 months ago to go along side my 81 SE6a auto . I sent it back to the dealer and had to get court papers issued to get my money back. The car had so much wrong with it even though it had a new MOT . I know the things I found are not in the MOT but still what I found was ie. Hatch wouldn't shut . Moss growing in the dash. O/s window motor not working. Engine misfire . Gearbox gone . Speedometer not worked for years. And other things that I have forgotten. Since then this person has bought it and now is selling it because of the faults he's found .
Hope this helps.

Thanks Ian - but no I wasn't looking at that one - I think it's back on Ebay now isn't it? Anyway - glad you got satisfaction from the dealer in the end.
