Cool colour and it's just the same as mine, I love all those vibrant colours that the Scimitars came in, far better than the dreary colours of today.

Hi and welcome, I'd consider myself to be quite new on this forum but I can tell you that everyone I've had contact with as been friendly and helpful. Are you planning on a full body off restoration? If you are I'm not that far in front of you. All the best Dave.

Always interested in a new member and car to the forum - looks like it has been standing unused for a while so it will stop you getting bored. Whatever problems you come across you can bet that someone on the site has had it before - cannot think of any problem I have not had myself come to that. You do not say where you are - find out where your nearest noggin is as you will find help there which can be easier than trying to explain on the site,

Hello and welcome!

Looks like you have your work cut out, still, buckets of warm soapy water are quite pleasant to dip hands into at the time of year.

Is the yellow paint original / an original colour?

I once used biological washing powder in warm water to clean off the paint of a Land Rover that had been sat for 25 years - very effective!

Hi Wrighty
Missing door lock/handle and mirror on drivers door, plus plastic front grill and headlamp surrounds/nacelles, windscreen wiper bosses and nuts.

Has it had a respray and the parts just not re fitted?????

Give us your first name and location so we can gauge who best is local to you.

Thanks everyone for your good wishes iam from Norfolk I’ve already introduced myself to the local noggin and will be attending the next-meeting The paintwork has been redone poorly but is good enough for time being, I would like to do a full body off resto but funds won’t allow it. The car has sat for many years but with a bit of tinkering I got it fired up and it ran quite sweet. Work I’ve already done - new brake lines new calipers, new rad and hoses - replaced all the lights with some that came with the car - stainless exhaust and broken manifold. In the process of replacing heater blowers ( any info on sourcing these would be useful) also

Forgot to post my name it’s Kevin. I am quite pleased that I managed to fit drivers door replacement glass frame purchased from Graham Walker and replaced the rotten hinge fixing plate (made by a friend) to the approval of mr Barry Herber who iam sure most of you know. I will be tackling passenger door when the weather gets better. For all those interested I will continue to post with pictures so you can enjoy my frustrations. With me  bye for now.
PS all advice is welcome.

philhoward,
Thanks Phil, can you purchase cills/out riggers ready made ? it seems to me best to get some stainless steel cut to replace them, iam very interested in the process of fitting them.
