would see if you can have a go in a 6 series car before you take the plunge, it's very much a different animal.
From my research I think the SE6 is going to fit my needs better than a SE5 now.
Its a good few years since the Scimitar & my needs from a car have changed a great deal.
I loved the way the SE5 and SE5a drove but I prefer a car with a little more room and a bit more comfort these days.
I wouldn't have dreamed of me driving a automatic back then but cant see me going back to a manual now.

It's a shame you've just missed our Scimfest/Curborough weekend - there were lot's you could have looked at and sat in. However, it would be worth contacting your local Scimitar social group (noggin & natter) - depending on where you are in NW Lancashire, there's one in Salmesbury and a couple around the lakes. Full List Here
Great minds think alike as that was one of the things I was thinking. Plus it lets my wife and kids see things for real and in the flesh.

Hi Paul

Your not a million miles from me.

I`m just over the border near Skipton.

I have a few models lying around that you could have a sit in, inc a GTC.

My noggin has everything, from Coupe to SST

Welcome to the madhouse. Mark
Superb many thanks for the offer Mark.
I was just looking at the noggin list and trying to see if I can make it to one of the meetings as part of a day out with the family.

Hi out there. I am another returning member. During the mid 70's I owned a straight six coupe. Presently I own an april yellow se6a which I bought restored from a nice man near Rugby. Having spent over 12 months looking for a coupe. Only had the se6 for 3 months when a suitable coupe became available for restoration. So now I have 2 of them and the coupe is being restored locally. Our local noggin is at the Lakeland Motor Museum on the 3rd Sat of the month.Good people with tons of knowledge. And would you believe it but I actually live in Morecambe! Get back to me and maybe we can have a meet. Cheers Phil.

Hi Phil, and welcome :) You're not the first person to have bought a Scimitar and then ended up with two.

I wish to say a public thank you the Phil (april2colin) for letting myself and my daughter have a sit in and look around his SE6. 8)
Sitting in Phil's SE6 brought back a lot of memories. :D
On the way home from looking at the SE6 my daughter asked me when are we getting one.

Its now time for the saving to start as I now have a good idea as to what I am looking for.
As I now know that access is fine for both myself and my daughter as that was the main concern that we wouldn't be able to get in and out.

When I have a little more saved I will be putting up a wanted ad for a auto SE6/SE6a.
