Hello from Somerset!

Post by ficknoster » Fri Mar 31, 2017 11:42 am

Good Morning all... :D I've been lurking here since last year, reading, learning etc. I spent the last few years restoring 70's honda motorcycles, my CB550 is the summer "daily" and I have just nut and bolted a CB400F... now that its just about done I have acquired an SE5a with (minor) fire damage to the engine bay and a (so far) solid chassis. Apparently it spent a previous ownership on a trailer between shows and track days, no recent MOTs, mileage shows less than 30k but I have no history with the car. Paint looks OK from a few feet away but up close its begging for me to respray it.

I have a low mileage (rare) BMW 325TDS so the plan is to tread the path that a few have already beaten the brambles back on and merge the two. (Dont panic... the essex will go on an engine stand and slowly be made awesome again)

Here is LWN 592P

I have submitted all details to the register. Anyone have any info on the car?

Welcome to the Forum, and I like the colour scheme; hope you keep it like that.

Welcome aboard, and aren't you lucky! You have got good chrome bumpers with over-riders(hens' teeth), and I love the wheels! :)
