Looking for an SE5...

Post by Scimfancier » Sun Dec 09, 2012 8:17 pm

.
Hi, just joined the forum and thought i'd introduce myself.

Bit about me.... I live in Ashbourne Derbyshire and am a bit of a bike nut, (Lav J & Speed Trip) have a number of kids but only one left at home now as i've managed to drive the older ones off.

Had 4 Scims over the years, (2x se6a 2x GTC), but decided to sell the last GTC earlier this year...but now less than 6 months down the line find myself hankering after another Scimitar.

This time though it'll have to be a 5 as I just love the style.

That's it for now, Rob

The High Peak Noggin isnt to far away, in Chapel En Le Frith. It's every first Tuesday from about 8:30pm. January's is on the second Tuesday because the first tuesday is close to Christmas.

There's a number of 5/as for sale, including the ex Dave Speed orange 5a and a nice cream/white one that was advertised yesterday I think

Thanks for the heads up on the cars... 8) been in touch with Paul who owns the white one, looks good in the pics but it's a 5a and i prefer dash of the 5.

Also been in contact with the owner of the teale blue 5 that was on ebay a few weeks back.. has the right spec that i'm after, but it has a fibreglass panel where a webasto sunroof should have been.. the owner had inherited the car and didn't know a lot about it at all, i've just looked over some photo's he's emailed me and it looks okay but it's a long way from me to go see it. :|

Anyone here been to see this car?

White one on eBay looks okay but the dealer selling it ain't commiting himself with a very comprehensive description..

The teal blue one... I don't know, seller put on a bullshit ad going on about free champers an stuff then kept changing the ad..but behind it all it looked a quite nice car..bit expensive though..

And if you buy it now before I put over £1000 worth of unnecessary extras on it, there's a big discount
