New to the RSSOC - SE6A Plymouth--

Post by Pogle » Thu Jul 05, 2018 10:54 pm

Hello Folks my name is Ian, live in Plymouth Devon recently purchased a 1977 SE6A from Ebay it was and still is a non runner I am in the process of fixing it up and may need some advice or help sourcing some parts in future. Bought it at the end of March and have been working on it as often as I can since. Body is off, chassis is out and restored, waiting on some parts to begin chassis rebuild. Have attached a few photos and hope to be in touch with members and maybe attend some meetings really soon.

=Regards Ian

will post more soon been out there working on it tonight so cannot spend long on this intro.

Welcome Ian. I'm in Plymouth too and I went through the same process that you're going through now with my SE5 a few years ago. (SAR restoration somewhere in the project thread on here). The South Devon noggin meets on the fourth Thursday of the month at The welcome Stranger in Bickington. There's usually a couple of us who go together taking turns in the driving. You'd be welcome to join us though I'm away for the next two. There's also regular drives out for a lunch somewhere. Happy to share experiences and knowledge anytime.

Welcome to the club!- from another Ian :D That makes at least four of us. Are you thinking of coming to the Scimfest at Curborough next month? You could have a poke around my SE6A and ask questions about how they go together.

Hi Ian, welcome to the forum :D You've certainly got stuck-in and the results look good - good luck with the rest of the restoration, and I look forward to hearing more :)

Thank you all for the warm welcome, I am hoping to start re-assembling the chassis next week I am just waiting on a few new parts and will get into it, hopefully will have it ready to go under the car by the end of the month.
Will post more photos as it progresses.
I won`t be able to make Curborough next month I am afraid as work commitments and oddly enough I seem to be missing an arm and a leg? But have gained lots of car bits in exchange for them so will need to finish the expenditure on the car and hopefully attend the next one.
As for local meeting Geof I will look forward to seeing you folks very soon. Thanks also to Roger, Scimjim,
Ok must dash things to do...…………………..
Regards Ian.
