Ian there are Two types of airbox used on the webber carb.

One used a vacuum from the venturis to operate the hot air system, the early unit was manually operated.

Does your carb have the take off fitting in the centre of the venturi`s ??

Hello Mark

My carb is incomplete, was going to buy a brand new one just to eliminate any chance of problems, the carb that came with the car is missing the whole top portion and the floats etc tomorrow I will uncover the engine and try and work out from what is left which one I will need. Sorry to be a bit of a dope but new to this car so still learning about all the subtle changes between them will get back to you on that tomorrow thanks for getting back to me though.

This ad was placed nearly a year ago and the OP hasn’t been logged in since last October, so unless anyone has had contact with him, I’m going to close this thread.
