SS1 Instrument hoood/surround

Post by mikerf » Thu Aug 24, 2017 5:21 pm

Anyone got an SS1 instrument cluster surround hood thingy. I'm talking about the brittle fragile plastic thing that cracks when you look the wrong way at it.

Could do with one sooner rather than later.

Several - but would need to check condition this weekend as most if not all have cracks and/or bubbles. I plan on reinforcing the one on project with a layer or two of GRP mat inside.

Can't be any worse than mine, Jim. Let me know if you dig up a usable one.

Jim has probably remembered which kind of SS1 Mike has, but it may be worth mentioning for the benefit of people reading this thread in the future, that the clusters and their surrounds aren't all the same - the clear panel on the front of the cluster slopes in the opposite direction on CVH as opposed to Ti ones, so each cluster requires it's own specific shroud :)

Quite right, Roger. I should have pointed out that it's for a 1600 CVH.
