1967 - SE4a Reliant Scimitar Coupe

Post by franklintq1 » Mon Aug 14, 2017 12:21 pm

Hi All,

I'm looking to sell my coupe project and thought this was a good place to start.

Any interest and/or ideas on how much is reasonable to ask for this beaut?

Mark

Welcome to the forum :D

The car looks lovely but to estimate a price we need more details, particularly regarding the extensive work that's been carried out recently. I'd always recommend an MOT before sale and are you keeping that registration? DVLA still shows it as white - the respray looks great but do you have pictures of the repair to the wing?

Red would not happen to be your favourite colour by any chance would it.

Hi Jim,

The plates valued at 1.5-2k so ill put it on a retention.
The cars been sat for 6 months and started first time yesterday....made my day!

Mechanically -
It's had a full back to sub-frame overhaul, for the most part its mechanically original with the exception of a new reconditioned Cosworth v6 Essex motor with tank mounted electric fuel pump. It has its original wheels and a set of painted wolfies.

Cosmetically -
its has had a full respray,
fully leather custom interior,
new (as original) gauges,
New door panels,
New headlining,

Work outstanding -
Minor fibreglass repair required on front left wing following work shop balls up!,
Internal carpets not yet fitted
Suspension Coilovers are past their sell by date and could do with being replaced
Hot start is temperamental

I Like the look of this car! Where about are you and have you settled on an asking price yet? This is the sort of car I have been looking for.
