Pass but possibly. It has been used as a tug for dragging a sprint car around! It's a club member and will be in slice. I have emailed the owners son for more info.

Ok so I have had an email from the owner. He wants around £4000 for it (bargain if you ask me even with the auto box!) And it's located in Somerset!

Why so quick to belittle the automatic gearbox greeny?

thought the majority of SE8s had autos? Not being a very inclusive registrar if so!

Is this blue scimitar still for sale? I owned this particular car in the early 80s, might be interested.

Not an exclusion on auto boxes just never driven one I like. But it is horses for courses. However the statement was meant that in the used car for sale market a manual car commands a premium over an auto.

Auto cars have always been cheaper on the used market

Blue GTC for sale

Post by scimjim » Fri Oct 13, 2017 10:13 pm

Having had GTC/6a/6b with C3, A4LD, type 9 and standard overdrive, I'd go for A4LD every time. My SE5 however will always be manual.

I have both manual and automatic GTC's and like them and drive them both for completely different reasons depending on my mood at the time. Enjoy both.
