"No one buys a 40-50 year old plastic car without learning a a lot and very quickly "

Love that comment.

Well if you buy the wrong one anyway. The vast proportion of Scimitars are used infrequently or reside in the back of a shed in kit form bits stripped back to gel coat having sat there for 20+ years. Or the third Kind, sat unloved outside for 30+ years, rotten chassis moss covering the interior, wiring eaten by rats and a badly weathered body.

But more frequently its one man stating "this is the best in the country" followed by another man saying something I probably shouldn't post here.

 yeah I'm not brave enough to post uncensored these days, I'd end up in the brown stuff within 2 posts.

Yes he wants to get the car sold, yes I understand it's his likelyhood, but I don't understand is why he boasts it as the best when the Colonel of Kev O and Rogers mulberry auto to name just two would literally be widdling on the back of this cars head in terms of quality looks and reliability....

If people gulped that blurb down they'd think that if this is the best a GTE can be then the others must be sheds....

Indeed.
If you look carefully, you'll see it's well lined up with the overriders and the body curve immediately above it.
What he might have 'mis'seen' is the optical illusion provided by the highlight to the upper left of the plate; the highlight looks as if it is rising (giving the NP the appearance of dropping), but is simply curving away with the shape of the front end.
:)

If he's to be believed that the plates are worth what he says, they won't stay on for long anyway! :D

It may be an optical illusion but having looked again something's not right on that front end to my old eyes...anyway if the front plate is perfect am I allowed to say that the door mirrors are hideous and the rear wiper seems to have decided to try and tie itself in knots? :)
