Scimitar 4x4 Prototype to be Auctioned

Post by reliant-reviver » Tue Feb 20, 2018 2:09 pm

Mark H. My choice would be that Citroen Visa, it looks superb. Love the interior!

Hope the GTE FF goes to a good home and we all get to appreciate it some more in the future. Definitely an important vehicle and of significance.

Plenty of pedal cars there, perhaps I should pop along and pick up a project for R-R junior, wonder what she would fancy.

Scimitar 4x4 Prototype to be Auctioned

Looks like a load more items have been added today, plus a general item ("article") on the Brightwells site describing the auction generally and featuring the Scim as the accompanying illustration. How on earth did the collector assemble so many kids' cars in one place ?

It was an internet bidder, rather than someone at the sale

Scimitar 4x4 Prototype to be Auctioned

£13K plus 10% buyers fee plus VAT on that.
I registered to bid LIVE on line but it has been a total farce, no sound from the Live feed and I couldn`t get any sense from trying to get on line.

To be fair the guys at Brightwells did call me back a few times when I expressed an interest.

Scimitar 4x4 Prototype to be Auctioned

Post by Roger Pennington » Wed Mar 21, 2018 7:23 pm

Interestingly, while I was doing my parade laps of Goodwood I was listening to the commentary on the radio (who do you think you are, Stirling Moss? ) and so far as I could tell they seemed to avoid the usual Scimitar clichés, but they did give a mention to the fact that the 4x4 prototype was coming up for sale shortly, and implied it was something they'd like to own :D
