Was that colour ever an option for the interior?

Anything was an option if you paid enough...but it wasn't a "standard" colour option.

It does look a lovely car in the pictures - with the most lavish interior........& looks to have been retrimmed in green leather which will have cost a pretty penny. I take the point about the rather sparse description - but succinct & to the point; probably on the basis that the vendor justifiably feels that a serious potential purchaser would be looking to give the car a good going over with a test drive rather than just 'taking a punt' which often seems to happen at the lower end of the market...

As for price - well, if it was a 3-litre Capri in that condition it would be £25k........as this is a better motor car & the buyer is getting it for ten grand less - BARGAIN!!

Not bashing myself over the price. Just shocked when I see one for sale at its true value. Looks a great car from the pictures, but do think the advert could have been better.

I quite agree and as much as i would like to see the true value and profile of the marque raised, I just think for now at the moment, for a 6A to be around the 15k mark it would have to be stunning, almost perfect. I must be looking at the wrong photos, because although it is nice, it is not anywhere near perfect.

Ok ,perhaps I should firstly apologies directly to GTC Ian .,no offence intended, but i have seen this car.
Secondly id like to clarify what I am saying.

In general there appears to be a trend to mock/ make derisory comments regarding higher priced scimitars that come up from time to time for sale .

Its becoming apparent that there are a lot of owners within and outside rssoc who want their cars to be realistically priced in line with other contempory marques of the period ie Jensen /capri/jaguar etc ...im hoping they will one day outnumber the doomsayers of reliant scimitars.

Now if a cv8 was for sale at say £ 30k nobody would bat an eye or deride a 65 cooper s at 20k, the sum total of a scimitar in components is of equal if not greater than any 3.0 capri ,so why do owners mock/make what I can only call sarcastic remarks about a perfectly good car that is worth all of the asking price .
Keep talking down the values and everybody will just not bother taking the marque seriously.
I value my gtc immensely ,its been in my possession over 20 years ,I paid over 7k back then , its worth far more now in real terms ,but id waste my time offering it for sale ...which I wouldn’t anyway ,its not for sale ,my point is the real market value is being ignored and derided.

Please don’t be offended ,I’m fed up at the perception of my car being seemingly worthless against its contempories

Im thick skinned so by all means rip my thoughts to bits ,but i felt i needed to say this.

EDITED to comply.

Please direct your annoyance to the individuals, not “the forum”. The forum doesn’t have an opinion, it just lets you widely publicise your opinions and discuss things. It annoys me immensely when people incorrectly direct things to “The Club”, “The Committee”, “The forum” when it’s not appropriate.

Jim's point is well made, but I agree with oil rag.

If we do not take the Marque seriously ,it is certain no-one else will.
