SS1 centre console

Post by Clueless1 » Sat Jun 23, 2018 5:05 pm

Hi, does anyone have a centre console for sale in better condition than mine?! I’m going to change the colour to black so fading or scuffs aren’t too important.
Cheers

Do you want both parts? I have several but will need to check condition - can do it tomorrow?

Yes both please. I’m recovering the armrest but it still needs a lot of work.

Is the armrest cubbybox just split at the screwholes?

Sorry Jim, misread your reply. No, it’s pretty broken all over! Someone has tried a repair on the base but not a very good one.

Okay - one switch panel in VGC - some overspray (which I could remove but won’t bother if you’re going to paint it anyway :D ) and a small tear in the bottom right corner of the radio aperture (should be hidden by the radio surround?)

The best cubby box I have with e/w & e/m has one crack on the front left corner and the usual (easily repairable) cracks in the base.

Hi Jim, I’ll take the radio console but my centre one is in a bit better condition than yours!
Cheers.

They all suffer from being far too thin and very brittle on the base - the black plastic glued on the bottom is actually factory :D

If yours is better than that, it should be an easy repair before painting?
