this is how they are fitted to one on my C's which is the same as my 5. short ones near to tunnel long one to outside of each box. The plate Jim mentioned has been made of stainless on this one

It appears I was wrong in my assumption, 1969SE5

I highly suspect the 5 series are mounted in the same way.

Advice where rear Seatbelt mounting brackets fit SE5

It was the mounting points I was looking for (one on side, one in the base) rather than the shape of the straps.

I've bought some straps from Geraint too and these pictures are gold. Thanks to everyone.

Once more from me, not that it adds a great deal, but I had already uploaded it so it can't do any harm :D

Is that stainless spreader plate attached anywhere else, or just from that one same bolt that we can see?

the original plate on the GTC had a pop rivet above the nut to keep it in place, I made stainless plates but used the same adhesive that holds the bumper rubbers on, I had some spare to keep it in place. I have not seen a spreader plate on an se5, although I put one on the last 5 I did.

Advice where rear Seatbelt mounting brackets fit SE5

Maybe a bit late to be of any help here :) I have 3 technical drawings for each of the brackets, ie the 2 slightly different outer ones and the two identical inner ones.

Each is A3 size but can copy and bung them in the post for anyone who needs them.

They were made a fitted before I took ownership of the 5a.

The parts list says it’s the outers that are handed?
