Car Trailer

Post by AndyM » Wed Jan 31, 2018 4:00 pm

I am looking for a twin axel car trailer to tow my SS1 to sprints and hill climbs this year. It needs to be up together as I need to spend my evenings and weekends on the car rather than the trailer!

Ideally I don't want to pay the earth, but figured it would be better to buy rather than keep hiring one.

I'm based in North Somerset but don't mind traveling a bit?

Thanks

Andy

There was a single axle on here or was it the FB site :?: £1500

I think Reliant Reviver was interested though.

It's a single axle but would be ideal for an SS1, let me know if you are interested. I'm down near Bristol infrequently looking at houses as I'm moving down that way, so could probably arrange some form of delivery.

Steve Baldwin was flogging one back in October as well but it might have gone via Fleabay since?

Definitely SS1 sized...although not a plated/branded trailer (I passed on it as I don't want to risk upsetting the Gendarme in France).

Even if you aren’t interested in mine, I can thoroughly recommend Woodford (I don’t work for them by the way!) - nice company to deal with, really good quality electrics and mine tows brilliantly. The only problem I ever had with it is the spare wheel mounts cracking - I went through two in the standard place (forward of the NS wheel) before I moved it up onto the drawbar and turned it upside down; no issues since!

I’ve also towed with Brian James Clubman and have just replaced the one above with a PRG Sport - can recommend both. Personally I’m not a fan of home built trailers, but you pays your money...

Thanks for the offer of the single axel trailer, but I’m really after twin for the extra capacity and stability.

I will check out the Woodford ones online.
