If Phil doesn't come up trumps, I have a pair lurking – somewhere. They have gone somewhat brittle, but could be used as is or the strap part replaced with a suitable length of 1" wide leather/vinyl (IIRC some have redeployed a leather belt?). The chrome section(s) will clean up no problem.

I thought we were on about the ones that hang on the B-post (above the seatbelt mount)? If not, then I've got my wires crossed!

ooops my mistake, i have some the b pillar handle mounts need new straps though. I use a decent leather belt to the replace the straps. You may wish to check that the two captive nuts in the b pillar don't contain the old chrome studs which have a nasty habit of shearing. may be why yours weren't replaced.

PM me if nothing comes up. I have a pair screwed to my car (One has been relocated as the pull handle on my improvised driver's door card) and they are red leather, and I don't like them. They're only still there because I haven't started looking at my interior yet, but I'd be happy to remove them and send them on if you need them. I'll just fix a piece of leather strap for closing my door. Not fussed. Door cards will be replaced at some point with proper ones.

(edit: correction... it's evidently not on my door card but screwed to the door plastic)

you won't believe this... after Geraint's note about sheared nuts ! i have checked, and never realised, i do not have any actual fixing holes !! only screw holes for the little chrome hooks...... i guess the early SE5's did not have the 'B' post assist handle at all ?
