SS1 door striker

Looking for a pair of door strikers (the part attached to body)

Anybody know where I might find them, or what other vehicles used same one?

EDIT: Image

Managed to find one of the #25 in image above
Reliant part number is 220736, seems to be the same on earlier scimitars, not just SS1

I don't know about the earliest Scimitars, but it's certainly not the same as Se6-series.

Here's the SS1 one:

And here's the Se6a one:

As the SS1 external door handles are SD1, I thought it might come from there, but I looked in the Rimmer bros. catalogue, and those seem to be different (ironically they look more like the 6-series one). They probably came from somebody like Wilmot Breedon, who supplied much of the British motor industry at that time. Hopefully one of the usual SS1 suspects will know, or have a spare one :)

Thanks for the reply, Roger.
I'll keep hunting, and hope somebody on here has some.

Just found it's the "Reliant 'SCIMITAR' GTE/ GTC 2.8 SE6B/SE8B Parts List" that shows same part number. 220736 in the price list at the bottom, but completely different part number and picture in the pictures above.

The 6b/GTC price list was updated with SS1 parts which is why the number’s listed.

I have a few spares (but no screws) - will dig some out this weekend. PM me your address.

That's interesting, I wonder if GW intended that price list to be there? it has a date at top right of each page - 31/07/98 - things may have moved on since then! :)

A lot of those priced still stand...as long as the stock is still from 1998..

I think that’s the one that came with the infamous “Silver Parts List” which came out at about the same time?

Yes, could well be. I've got one of those, but it's out in a cold dark garage, so that stone will be left unturned for the time being!

Are your strikers missing or just worn?

Missing, there was only one of the outer pieces in the latch of one of the spare doors, which is quite worn but usable

The car came with original doors, but for some reason has some from another car fitted. Can't see any reason to have taken the originals off.

Are the quarterlight frames better on the ones that are fitted?

Ones fitted atm (from a C reg car, I still need to email the info about them for the registry), one has a very wobbly quarterlight, other one is missing.
That's one of my jobs to have a proper look at and decided what to do.
