Cheltenham (Fernden) Sable 1980 in lovely condition.

Post by AJL Electronics » Sat Nov 11, 2017 9:42 am

I have owned this beauty for about six years now and it only gets used a couple of times a year if that; a terrible shame.

The caravan has been resprayed, rewired and reupholstered. It has a fitted 10" TV/ DVD player with Freeview and a mini(hidden) satellite receiver for Freesat. There is a car radio / CD player fitted with 5" speakers. This is also used for TV audio, so it sounds nice.

Being a Fernden, it has plastic double glazing, so with the gas heating on in the winter, it gets quite snug. Water is fed by a Whale submersible electric pump, although the original foot pump is still fitted and working. There is a working gas oven and hob at the rear of the caravan.

The interior woodwork is real wood, not photographic imitation. All the upholstery was done with new dual firmness foams so the originals are unmolested and will go with the sale.Fabric curtains all round, with two roller blinds at the back, although one has a hole in the fabric. LED bulbs are fitted to the spotlamps and there is a strip of LEDs at the front for additional low power lighting.

Electrical system has a float charger and a fast charger, with leisure battery under the bunk. A set of six switches in the same place isolate circuits as required and a set of fuseboxes are fitted to the bottom of the chest, between the bunks. One of the fluorescent strips at the front flickers, probably needing a new tube.

The awning is actually a motorhome "drive away" type which can either be fitted to the caravan or left free standing. It is just a few years old and nothing wrong with it.

Various accessories to be supplied with the caravan, including chemical toilet, water barrel and some kitchen items.

Contact during 09:00 to 16:30 weekdays and until 15:00 on a Saturday. Gloucester 01452 311031

There should be some more relevant photographs, but once again the system will not allow me to upload anything that didn't originate from IOS!

Looking at those pictures makes me think, "WHY am I prepared to let it go?" ;-) The truth of the matter is that it only gets taken out for Curborough and it really needs using a bit more.

The sun awning can go with it too.

That will be the exact same reason I sold it too..

Sorry, I was convinced that I had put it on!

Priceis £4000 with everything shown in the pictures, except for the SE6a of course plus Aquaroll and Portapotti. I value it at £5000 but this time of the year is more difficult to sell motorcycles, convertibles and caravans of course! Good time to buy though.
