Time Limits on adverts

Post by philhoward » Thu Aug 21, 2008 10:55 pm

Assuming this section stays, then i propose the following time limits on adverts:

Ebay Links: Minimum of 30 days from close of auction (or last auction if multple listings on one thread)

Wanted: Minimum of 3 months from last post

For Sale: Minimum of 3 months from last post

If you are offering for sale, please either delete your post or ask us to do so if the item/car is sold

If you have posted for a wanted item/car, please either delete your post or ask us to do so if you have found what you were looking for.

All of the above is to keep traffic flowing in these sections and to try and avoid anyone being messed about. I appreciate that sometimes it is a case of waiting for the right car/part to appear - if you have any problems with any of the above please contact me or another Moderator.

Never try and argue with an idiot. They drag you down to their level, then beat you based on experience.

Time Limits on adverts

Post by scimjim » Sat Jun 15, 2019 12:41 pm

You may have noticed that we moved to a blanket 6 months for all 3 sections which keeps it to just a couple of pages of active adverts and makes it easier to manage.

No need to delete your posts unless you particularly want to, it will be locked and moved to “removed for sale & eBay” and eventually deleted entirely. We try to archive any technical information that creeps into the occasional advert before moving it, but please point it out if you notice anything worth keeping.

If you want a thread moving back from “removed for sale & eBay” for any reason, just ask - it only takes a few seconds.
