I found as you did it touches your legs im using vw b6 seats electric adjust so I will shunt it down eventually .I can't see the clocks with the small wheel though .

ah yeah there is that, i was thinking i could swap them over so you'd be able to see the low mph's and high rpm's
when i swap the engine i'll probably need a gps speedo anyway and different rev counter

I'm using an electronic Speedo from India £30 and a ford escort sensor


1962 mini, bedford CA , KR200. morris 1000, mini pickup.several escorts,ford grandad.ford cortina X2 ,astra, SE5A x 2 ,ford focus.

After going round the houses multiple times you either get something cheap that looks totally out of place (digital and looks like it belongs on a quad bike) or spend the cash - VDO do a nice one for under £200 that will work with a £10 sensor suitably aimed at a prop shaft bolt and doesn’t look out of place. You’ll be staring at it all the time and if it’s going to be something out of place, you might as well use a Speedo app on your phone attached to the screen with a mount. At least you can remove it..

cheers i could live with that - how does it pick up the speed?
i did think about getting the 85mm and mounting it in a bezel to make it up to 100mm - not sure how it will look tho

The ford escort sensor screws onto the gearbox where the cable used to fit. If it's an auto you need an adaptor first .
