Well it turned up at last . Bought site unseen from Scotland and delivered today in the dark but from what I can see looks good. 2 owners from new , Ist was The R.t Hon Ian Bennet who owned the car till 1997 . There is a tax disc in the screen of 2002 .
Supposedly has been restored with a Galvanised chassis by Robin Rew . Also unusual is that it has spoke wheels 72 spoke ones at that. Stainless exhaust and tank as well .
So should be easy recomisioning it to get it up and running.
Ist problem bonnet cable is siezed , can I take off grille and get to bonnet catch that way ?

I had a chance to buy this, bit gutted I didn’t, but I had to take a sensible pill and hold off buying anything else until I’ve sold a few. Hope it’s as good as it looked!

If you remove the grille you can release the catch
The cables often rust solid

Better on a photo than in real life but what Scim is not. You cannot get to the bonnet catch through the Coupe headlights by the way and the headlight cover can only be removed by gaining access to the cover retaining butterfly nuts via a panel in the wheel arch. Easily got at by removing the front grill as you thought though. That's one of our two TI's next to the Coupe Colin.

Grille off and bonnet open , hinges seem partially siezed though . Quite pleased with underbonnet after a quick look round , will need completely going through . Anybody recommend a suitable 12 v battery that fits in the 6v tray?
