So when doing an efi swirlpot, is the pump supplying the pot a normal pressure one, whilst obviously the one taking to the injectors is high pressure

Yep.

So I've been busy but a bit challenging. Time is at a premium as I'm commuting a lot, wife is living 150 miles away and in staying home to look after my rabbit. :!:

Also I'm trying to get the car to Richard to do various significant bits but the autosolo threw up two things, which was the whole idea but delayed things somewhat. The clutch slipped on the way home, and smoked slightly during g the event 8) . This was a bit to resolve as I know my setup is different to oem and had never quite been right. Secondly under power she swapped ends at will. I have a 40 litre donut lpg tank the wrong side of the axle so of course when full of lpg it weighs a lot and simply acts as a pendulum.

So I decided to put in an lpg torpedo tank where the back seats were...

I've also dropped the gearbox and dismantled other stuff,

Your dad actually pointed something out.

So these are the measurements

So my flywheel setup is 25mm shallower, but my bearing attached to the concentric clutch is 19mm taller

The pressure plate is blue, hence overheating, but the clutch plate is fine. However the clutch fluid pipes in the bellhousing have tiny holes. A while back Your dad has said oem pipes sometimes don’t allow the fluid to release quick enough.

The delay has been , I hurt my back a couple of weeks ago training...

And even though it’s a really clean installation, one of the gearbox bolts os sooo weelll hidden, because of the sore back, I needed to remove everything to minimise stupid yoga positions trying to do it on the least effort.

But replaced with torpedo tank right side of axle

So I think I needed to do this before getting the suspension sorted, aka richard

ok, so another attempt.

New concentric slave, interestingly came with a note with "DO NOT COMPRESS". which is of course, the exact opposite to what i did before.
So the bearing slides off no problem.
Then a slight bit of filing to the housing the make an interference fit :-

WP_20191003_21_27_48_Pro.jpg

can someone please check my logic.

As you can see the bearing I've fitted is a classic style, with a 13mm deeper housing than one fitted when purchased.

So that means my concentric slave setup is now 13mm taller the the original oem one, which should negate the 18mm shallower flywheel.

Ie the clutch pressure plate fingers are 18mm further away. But my concentric bearing is now 13mm closer.

Is that how it works ? Is that enough of a take up ?

The bore of my master cylinder is the same as oem, 3/4" but the travel is slightly further.
This has come up before.. :w

Sorry James, the order of the posts was based on pictures etc from my iPad or phone rather than common sense. You dad highlighted the small holes in oem bellhousing piping as a cause for not releasing,

I think by the measurements, my problem isn’t overcompressing the pressureplate, but if anything undercompresiing. If anything the bearing could do with being a bit taller.

And I think. The tiny holes in the pipe work, don5 allow the fluid to release quickly enough, hence plate slipping when changing gear

So what’s the best method to deglaze a pressure plate

Do the OEM pipes have a pressure limiting valve? My Beamer had one and the clutch was so lazy with it fitted that I bypassed it.
