Cheers, my T2 is currently away being rebuilt, is there a preferred supplier for fuel pumps?

Ebay specials are on most sprint cars

https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/Universal-Ex ... SwofxUfQ7r

At that cost buy a spare and move the pump to an easier to reach location for quick change at an event if it fails (ask me how I know  )

All EFi fuel systems use a fuel pressure regulator, virtually all are mounted on the fuel rail.

Pump is mounted on the inside of the chassis rail NS under the tank over the rear axle. A bit of a pain to get to in a hurry.

I've just moved ours to the rear of the tank but we don't have a lining in as we are Mod prod. I think Corky his moved his pump :?:

Oh and the "input" on the pump is bigger than the output so get yourself an in-line reducer for the connection to the tank

Thanks, I dont suppose you know what size the standard outlet is? also whilst the engine is out would it be worth dropping the sump and cleaning the oil strainer?

5/16 hose will happily go on the pump output to the engine. The input pipe on the pump is 12mm I think and the output from the tank is 8mm I think. I bought a 12mm to 8mm reducer. Not fitted yet but plan to use a short section of 3/8 pipe onto the 12mm input of pump reducing to 5/16 for the tank connection. You damage a 5/16 pipe if you attempt to push onto the 12mm pump input

Oil strainer; if you have time do it....much easier off the car and you know its all good :)

As a G reg car you may well have the fuel feed from the tank underneath on a seperate lock ring insert. If so it will be a 12mm pipe

If you drop the strainer, ensure the gasket to the pump is replaced or in perfect nick

My Sabre was like that. 12mm pipe from underneath.

Be careful with boost until you've had it on the rolling road. There's a good chance you'll be under fueling without a fuel pressure increase and maybe a tweak to the AFM (You need to drill out the anti tamper blank to access the adjuster). I'm keeping mine at around 10psi, as it's still on a standard cam and pressure regulator. Good for 160BHP though, which seems to be reasonable on handicap.

Luckily I bought a full set of gaskets from Corky, I wont be touching the boost until it has been on the rolling road, what adjustments are required at the AFM end?

It’s just a rich/lean adjustment screw.
