Keep going guys.. i read this thread as a source of inspiration and to remind myself how lazy i am once i get home from work. I am sure you will forget these "one step forward two steps back" moments once completed.

a short story to hopefully make you smile...

the petrol in the face i sympathise with... a few weeks ago I was under the 6a replacing fuel lines. it was that long ago that i removed them that i forgot which pipe went to what connector on the tank. put small pieces of pipe on each connector. blew down one of them thinking i may hear bubbles therefore finding the "out" pipe. all that happened was petrol poured out of the other pipe as i was blowing down the return. and it poured straight into my ear. couldn't have been a better shot. so ear burning and petrol still flowing i had to try to stem the flow and race to the sink.. then a trip to local walk in center for a good flush out. dont try it at home. it stings and you smell for ages...

sorry for the digression...

good luck with the task in hand. Ian.

If it is made of nuts and bolts I WILL take it apart..... going back together is a whole different ball game

So we decided to pull the fuel rail and take a look at what was going on with cylinder number four injector, it turns out that the ECU was telling it to fire full bore whilst priming the fuel pump then full on when cranking which as you can see in this video is enough to keep a fleet of taxis running for a fortnight  I called Omex and they acknowledged that they had sent me a configuration that deviated from the standard wiring diagram which is great as it means we hadnt done anything wrong and the injector is infact perfectly fine. was does bother me is that the engine has hydraulic locked a few times which we thought was ignition timing grrrr. anyway its sorted now, we need to put the induction side back together before trying to run it but atleast we got to the bottom of the problem.

Got a Megasquirt and loom ready to go here. Doesn’t do sequential or launch or boost control but makes an engine work..
