I’d have to look in my boxes of bits. I’ll not be able to check until Saturday.

Have a look for filler plugs (no drain plug on a small sports diff :D )

We have managed to get the differential itself into the casing, strangely it required some of the interior of the casing being tickled with a rotary burr to allow enough clearance, pictures to follow.

Mobil 1 gear oil fully synth. Ford OEM viscous nor quaife style ATB diffs don't need LSD oil like 'Salisbury' played diffs like the GTEs

Tbf any OEM spec oil for the sierra diff will be fine, better than the sludge you'll have removed

This is a picture of the area that needed material removing (drivers side) in order to actually get the Quaife into the casing, this looks worse than it actually is and not much has been removed. its all going to be pulled apart again and carefully cleaned before final assembly.

had to take about 2.5 mm off the lumpy bit...apparently it's a thing when squeezing a quaife in...seems odd, but that really is the only way it was going in there ...even then it's a finger biting job. Darryl finished the rebuild with a little advice here and there from me, it's actually more straightforward than ithought it was going to be.

i'm making this up as i go along
