Good day all

first on my shopping list will the coolant hoses, i have emailed the traders for availability, but i recall one of the regulars putting together a kit using silicon hoses used on an Essex V6 along with a SS connectors- is there a hose teardown for the Cologne V6 by any one ?

Cologne cooing system is very different to the Essex so I’d be surprised if it would be viable to make one from the other.

Stainless pipes are available from QRG but they only list silicone hoses for the SE4-SE6a.

Just checked and Martin fitted the silicone hoses after he’d bought 404.

ahh knew that question was inbound as soon as pressed send on my last post.... it wasn't a club member or either of the dealers it was a company on ebay who offered a set for £295 plus postage when i enquired after the listing had finished the price had jumped substantially. I can't find the quote for the company name but they made hoses for lots of classics, they had lots of positive feedback and i am sure they said they supplied essex hoses to one of the dealers...... there was a three week lead for manufacture and various colours available...... black was the most expensive!
I am sure when a spanner slips taking the skin of my knuckles removing the injection system from my latest purchase the company name will come back to me....

Assume virtually none of the Capri set will fit.

For £300 you could make your own set but it would have lots more connectors and clamps.

I will second that, the top and bottom radiator hoses definitely wont fit, AND if you have a 38 dgas the connector pipes probably won`t either.

I have been thinking about putting a Rubber set together as the current popular brand "Kevlar reinforced" are rubbish, but seem to be the only option.

many I think a quick ring round the usual suspects would be quicker as I have still got the problems I had last year.

But what I would ask is are they Rubber and cloth wound, OR Kevlar reinforced?.

As soon as I get my personal life sorted I will be looking to get quite a lot of parts remanufactured back to OE spec at least.

I will be looking at sorting the rack you asked about, and dropping off the HT.

Just seen this. I had sets made by Classic Silicone Hoses, when I was GTC registrar. They copied samples I sent them. I’m pretty sure I wrote an article in Slice about them and there should be a thread on here. We also had a special discount arrangement for RSSOC members.

I partially installed them on 404 and Martin finished it off.
