Clutch cable broke this morning on the way to work!!! :( ...so jogged the remaining four miles :(

A crucial spare to have in the "Bordeaux box" under the boot floor.

If you need one in a hurry I have good S/H cables here and also clutch fork widgets should you need one. Could post out today for delivery tomorrow.

not easy to fit at road side tho!!! (but it can help if your favourite breakdown Co will raise car up on their widget :-) )
I have done the 480 at road side when failed at traffic lights (good job motor factors were only mile from break down , now carry a spare in both SS1 & 480)

Waiting for RAC - they stated they will try a roadside repair first , but have forewarned my MOT garage they see me sooner rather than expected! :(

So the RAC chap says the cable is okay as there is still resistance during the last 3/4 of travel - he suspects the assembly may be the culprit

Could be the "clutch fork widget" that RR mentioned earlier, that has fallen out - try adjusting the clutch, if there's enough adjustment left, you may be able to get it working again.
