Here is a picture of the only one I could get at and I'm not sure which car it came off. The teeth of the wheel have been raised to stop the rotation ( end stop ). If not raised enough the momentum of the motor can drive the raised teeth beneath the plate ( on this photo the raised part is very high ) once under the plate the motor cannot reverse the gear from a standing start. The only answer is to free by hand and bend the teeth higher so they cannot go under the plate. You can see that the teeth have made a dent in the plate through use.

connect to one end of a 6 mtr rope and the other end of the rope to the rear bumper - you should get the full "experience" from that distance - sounds great above 60 mph

AH!!...i see...my mistake was to assume the speakers were not to be moved ...so i would have a rope loop to the bumper!...i got tired figuring on how to tie the rope to the bumper......

thank you Jim...and sorry Peter

Good day all

so between sun and down pours - i managed to ghetto fix a slight blow in the exhaust join at the down pipe and mid section with an empty can of beans, exhaust paste and exhaust clamps....
and installed a LED brake light thus:

a bit wonky - but hey- i still got to hook up to the brake lights

You can feel quite vulnerable in an SS1 next to modern cars, so a high level brake light is a great idea. I had considered fitting one to the roll over bar, but thought it'd annoy me when I looked in the rear view mirror.

I even have sketched one that could be mounted at the soft top header - that's for another day
