I had a single black pin stripe on a Sahara Beige 5a and it looked ok to me

The Yellow Peril has a black pin stripe, and it looks alright. However it was there when I bought the car 22 years ago, so I've never known it any other way - had it not been there, I doubt that I would have fitted it, and I doubt that I would have missed it....

I’d definitely go with a stripe on a 6 series car - the huge doors need breaking up more and I think the 6b rubbing strips accentuate the moulded flange really well.
