Mikey Bikeys attempt at sprinting - Car 1

Can I have a pint of what brian's had.

Anyways on the drive to work today I took the orange bus. I was giving it some, and 20 mils from Plymouth I came up behind an audi r8. He didn't want to give way so we had a fantastic drive on the a38 for 15 miles. What a buzz. Lots of hills, traffic, short overtaking sections that I know like the back of my hand. I got him on the final roundabout.... Adrenalin and more

knocking knees.

So the reason for the new found performance is black electrical tape. honestly

I was only bemoaning to ben this week about how poor the engine felt. Running very lean despite loads of lpg going in. So out of desperation to try to richen the mix used the tape and knocked the timing back very slightly and   immediate effect. The wide band is now showing 13-15 not 18-24 and she pulls like a train. easily up to three figures where the sprint on sunday I couldn't get over 75 on the airfield.

Happy days. Although when I refilled today I was doing less than 3 miles to a litre of lpg, although when its only 61 p a litre ....

We all enjoy a spirited drive when the time is right and the roads are clear.

It seems these throttle bodies have serious potential, its a pain that mixture can't be pinned down

Almost lends itself to fitting butterfly valves, operating on a Bowden cable from the cockpit. Not unlike a choke, at least you could set it up whilst driving under different conditions.

Just did a drag and drift day at perranporth airstrip. I didn't drift, but I did three 1/4 mile drag races. So so exciting. The last was against a supercharged mini cooper s with, he claimed, 200 BHP.

I beat him by about 0.2s

For the whole 1/4 mile we were neck and neck. I had an edge and somehow managed to keep it. We were looking across at each other and grinning like idiots.
