Is that some form of quick release gearbox your developing??

I think you and mikey should see who can do the worst damage to a gearbox :D
As for Mike and I, at least I can keep oil in mine
Last year I destroyed a type 9. My large mother in law got in the car and i think it sheared a few teeth trying to carry her uphill. i darent open it but now the challenge has been set i will video the opening of the box and tipping the bits out...

Good work. Engine & gearbox out again. Have you been counting how may times you've done this well practiced routine?

Hope not, hoping to have a little less gearbox intimacy with this conversion

Anyone know a decent machinist? Preferably Midlands based?

Aluminium as potentially the adaptor plate will need to be welded to the Nissan bellhousing

Ok Craig

be careful on spec as there are a few types of aluminium out there, some are weld able but may crack.
The alloy casting may not be acceptable to TIG welding either.

Could not countersunk allen screws be used??, it would also make any changes reversible and alterable in future??.

If you can`t find anyone nearer to you I could look into it for you?.

Mark

Thanks Mark.

Bellhousing is weldable alloy luckily.

There's a possibility of a steel plate with csk bolts, just preferred welded so that nothing moves or comes loose.

If I can't find anyone local I will take you up on the offer, cheers :-)
