Thanks Mark I didn't think there would be an issue but something my Dad said last night made me think. I usually coat threads as a matter of course unless there are reasons to not to.
It looks like all will go well with the rest of the install (fingers crossed

) the only possible snag may be the air filter catching the scuttle belly under the vents.
