Corky's Scimitars and other short stories

A few more jobs ticked off.

Replaced the brake fluid reservoir as it had cracked after coming into contact with the bonnet. I've raised the bonnet a few mm by packing out the catches, and I've cut out the offending chunk of bonnet underside. A quick check with the inspection camera confirmed the two were no longer touching.

Wheels are now on the rear, and low and behold they're a perfect fit with no need for spacers. I dropped the rear shocks so I could check full articulation, and the arches only needed a mild tickle to give enough width. So it's now sporting chunky 215 tyres all round.

Just for completeness, a couple of the replacement reservoir. It sits on top of one of my 22mm master cylinders, which puts it a bit closer to the underside of the bonnet.

I've also been busy fixing the trailer. I had a couple of brake lock ups, and found the problem to be this hitch damper.

split from another thread
Crouchie, I'm trying to fit a Canadian manifold to my spare engine, as you've done. I'll be using the stock ECU when this engine eventually finds its way into the car, which means I'll be using the CA20e IAA valve thingy and IAC from the CA18ET (I think). I'm getting a bit hung up on what to connect where, so was wondering if I can be cheeky and ask for a few photos of what you've done

Easier to follow than trailbaze.....

Corky, both engines with the inlets on are at Paul’s atm so not sure when I can get the photos done.
May be there in the next couple of weeks but I don’t have a problem with Paul taking some for you if you need
Also could be wrong but i think Craig had the install instructions?

The ones i imported never came with instructions, but i have pics Corky and there were some diagrams on zxoc iirc the US site under the ca20 section. A lot is commone sense, all the EGR junk can be lost.

Thanks fellas. I'm happy with about 90% of it. The three I'm not sure of are the flow and return to the IAC (the ca20 IAA doesn't have these) and the IAA outlet. Maybe I just need to make up a manifold that brings all three together?
