poly all round which is why I wasn't bothered about tightening it up in the air.

So the test day was a huge success as far as I was concerned. G97 made it there, didn't break down or leak during the event and I managed 15 or 16 laps, tried both sets of wheels & tyres, changed the quick-shift gearstick back to standard, adjusted dampers to compensate for snap oversteer and played around with the fuel system to try and overcome the DCNF LH corner float problem.

So, additional jobs over the pre MOT and pre first event jobs are:

Buy and fit new 13" tyres (R888R are looking favourite)

Change carbs - DMTR, bike carbs or injection?

Change front springs - needs to be an inch or so lower.

Build and fit 3.92 LSD.

What happened to the low 350s from Nick Halls old sprinter that Jake put on that red SST and AJL took off?
Possibly too stiff and too low though

Far too low and stiff after Jake lopped off a coil or two

We never really had issues with the DCNFs until I fitted the slicks, and even then it only suffered on the lefthander onto the straight going the wrong way, and only at curborough - I found changing the line through the bend helped a bit. Although it was probably suffering a bit everywhere.

When I looked there are some mods you can do to improve it.

Defo injection if not DCNFs. What fuel pressure are you running? Can't remember off the top of my head if it was flooding or starvation.

The ends of the short springs are painted black, so it doesn't appear that they have been cut.

Brand new Facet posi-flow failed just before the test day so I fitted an unknown Facet cylindrical pump. Although it would only cough on the first long left and hesitate coming out of the molehill, it would lose all power coming onto the straight uphill, so it may well be slightly low fuel pressure - I'll get a regulator and gauge on it before totally condemning them. I recall some mods were available but can't find anything online? Pretty sure I have everything for injection and I planned to go megajolt anyway - perhaps megasquirt is the way ahead (means I'll have to buy another one for 8 Ball though!)

IIRC they gave about 3" ground clearance? Don't think Nicks car was that low, so I assumed they'd been cut?

They are very short (8.8" rings a bell ) and require supporting mods to actually work. Might suit your racer though.

Actually they may not have had seating rubbers on?

Ti is heavier at front anyway. If still too low add 2nd pair of rubber NVH rings above std ones in sprin turret
